Use	Niacin (nicotinic acid) is a B Vatamin synthesized by the rumen microflora However, several benefits of niacin supplementation have led to its inclusion in the diet of high yielding dairy cows Microtinic PP is a slow-release formulation containing nicotinic acid that stimulates microflora development in the rumen and increases niacin bioavailability in the small intestine. Niacin is an antilipolytic factor when supplemented to the diets of highyieldig dairy cows, it decreases plasma concentration of NEFA (non esterified fatty acid) and ketone bodies concentration. Together with a good feeding management it may cotribute ot reduce incidence of (sub)-clinical ketosis in high yielding dairy cows.
